SALT HACK

Powdered Salt
Here’s another hack I came up with when we ran out of those free pouches of salt that we collect at the office.
I’ve noticed that Wendy’s salt seems saltier than other salt. I figure it’s ’cause the grains of salt are smaller. Smaller grains means more surface area to explode with delight on your taste buds. I decided to grind up some salt for this shaker and bring it to the office.
Thinking that a shaker full of white powdery stuff might weird people out, I came up with this little label. It probably still freaks people out but perhaps in a less dodgy way.
How to do your own poor man’s lamination:
(*) print two or three copies of your label on one page;
(*) cut your label to a small size;
(*) stick clear packing tape to it, using wide enough packing tape (or a small enough label) that there’s an overlapping edge of tape to work with; stick another piece of packing tape to the back side but don’t let it wrinkle;
(*) screw up once or twice and use the extra copies you made;
(*) Once you have tape stuck to tape with a label in the middle, trim the edges to leave a thin border of just tape.
Bonus points for using the office paper cutter to get clean, parallel edges.
